AIX host not able to mount NFSv3 exports when largesend/bypass_mtu is enabled on client

Issue

  • AIX host trying to mount NFSv3 export and gets error "nfs server <server> not responding, still trying……". 
  • Client is sending bigger packets than negotiated MSS (maximum segment size), which gets dropped in the network
  • largesend and bypass_mtu feature is enabled on client end.
