Removing a DC from the domain fails "NBT: Cannot connect to server over NBSS socket for port 139. Error 0x23: Resource temporarily unavailable"

Issue

  • When a DC is removed from the domain, an NBT error is displayed on the filer console:

[nbt.nbss.socketError:error]: NBT: Cannot connect to server x.x.x.x over NBSS socket for port 139. Error 0x23: Resource temporarily unavailable

  • List of ports required between the filers and DC / DNS servers.
  • The following is the error message on the filer in domain:

[cifs.trace.GSS:error]: AUTH: Could not set filer password in domain: (0x20) Broken pipe.
[cifs.kerberos.keytab:error]: CIFS: Keytable information for Kerberos: Error during backup restoration, could not find backup keytable.
[cifs.trace.GSS:error]: AUTH: Could not restore old keytab after failed password change.
[cifs.server.infoMsg:info]: CIFS: Warning for server \servername: Could not make TCP connection.
