XCP reporting that it has scanned huge file counter

Example:

271,915 scanned, 21 copied,22 indexed, 7,143 reviewed, 7,143 checked at source, 5 modifications, 7,143 re-reviewed, 17 new files, 7,138 reindexed, 2.05 GiB in (323 MiB/s), 2.05 GiB out (322 MiB/s), 6s.

It is actually only about 7,143 files, but 271,125 files are scanned.
