What does 'volumeUtilization' mean of API 'GetVolumeStats'?

Answer

The value of volumeUtilization shows how much the client is using IOPS for a single volume base on its maxIOPS.

Example:
"volumeUtilization": 0.00185

Note:

  • This means the IOPS utilization of this volume is 0.185%.
  • Sometimes the value is >1 because the client using their burst. It also happens despite the maxIOPS is same with burstIOPS since the actual IO is normalizing to 4k blocks that make the normalizedIOPS is larger than maxIOPS.
