Repeating nodeOffline and IPMI related alerts in Element software

Applies to

  • NetApp Element software versions 11.3 to 12.3.0
  • Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)

Issue

  • Repeating alerts shown at NetApp SolidFire Active IQ:
    • nodeOffline - The SolidFire Application cannot communicate with Storage node having node ID <#>.
    • sensorReadingFailed - IPMI diagnostics are currently unresponsive. Please contact support if this problem persists.
    • unresponsiveService - A master service is not responding.
  • A core file named with HangDetect generated around the time of the event (can be checked from ListCoreFiles API collection from NetApp SolidFire Active IQ):

Note: This API call has an interval of 24 hours to be updated, so it might not show immediately
