Applies to

  • SnapMirror
  • ONTAP 9.x
  • Active File System(AFS)

Answer

  • The AFS of the SnapMirror destination volume has the actual access time of the latest transferred snapshot
  • The AFS is mounted as Read-Only and the access time will not be updated on access
  • This behavior changes when the volume is broken off as the access time then will be updated on access
