Issue

  • SnapMirror updates for an established relationship start failing.
  • The snapmirror status -l output in AutoSupport messages are displayed as following:

  • The snapmirror status -l output does not provide information on the cause of the failure.
  • For more information on the cause, see either the SnapMirror log or the messages log. In this case, the messages or EMS logs have entries similar to the following:

Thu Aug 21 21:13:02 CEST [NAME4: snapmirror.dst.snapDelErr:error]: Snapshot ****4(0142226993)_vol_Mon_Logs.29 in destination volume vol_Mon_Logs is in use, cannot delete.

Thu Aug 21 21:13:03 CEST [****4: replication.dst.err:error]: SnapMirror: destination transfer from ****01:vol_Mon_Logs to vol_Mon_Logs : replication transfer failed to complete.
