SVM DR transfer fails with error Schedule not found

  • ONTAP 9.9.1 and earlier
  • Storage Virtual Machine Disaster Recovery (SVM DR)

Issue

  • Under certain conditions, initializing a SVM DR relationship can encounter DR CONFIG REPLICATION FAILED error message
  • This message may be found via event log show and snapmirror show from the CLI, or in EMS / SnapMirror Error logs
    • EMS.Log:
      DRCGFM:HA Group Notification from DestinationCluster-01 (DR CONFIG REPLICATION FAILED) ERROR
      [DestinationCluster-01: mgwd: vsdr.schedule.unavailable:error]:Configuration replication for policy "policy_name" in Vserver "vserver_name" has failed because the schedule mentioned in the policy is not available.
    • SnapMirror Logs:
      “Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Unrecoverable error during configuration replication, requires manual intervention. Error: Schedule custom_schedule not found.
      Execute "snapmirror show -destination-vserver vserverdr -fields last-transfer-error,unhealthy-reason -expand" to check if the constituent volumes have encountered errors.”
