Issue

 

  • After upgrade messages similar to these examples are found in EMS logs
cluster peer ping highlights unstable communication with the peer cluster. 
cpeer.xcm.update.warn: Periodic update of peer network information failed.
The following operations are incomplete: discovery failure.
cpeer.unavailable: Peer cluster netapp TELECOM is no longer available
 
Note:  No changes have been made to the network side, prior to or after the upgrade
  • Some peer IP addresses were unreachable
  • High number of 'malformed packets' seen in TCPDump on the destination side
  • High number of CSM counters on the destination side
  • ICMP requests show (No response found!)
