Description

The article describes how to add a manually baselined volume to a new project or move an already based volume from one project to a new project

The following are the two cases:

  • Case 1: Customer needs to move an already baselined volume from an existing project into a new project.
  • Case 2: Customer needs to add a manually baselined clustered Data ONTAP volume into a project/session.

The following preconditions must be met before proceeding with the steps:

  • The volume in question must have been already baselined (SnapMirror state in 'snapmirrored'). The 7-to-C SnapMirror relationship for this volume must be active and is not broken or deleted.
  • Document the 7-Mode IP address/FQDN that was used for the baselined volume's 7-to-C SnapMirror relationship. The exact same IP address/FQDN must be provided as data-copy IP address while creating the new project/session.
