For accounts that did not pre-register (prior to Dec 3) access to your NetApp data may take up to 1 hour as your legacy NSS ID is synchronized to the new B2C identity. SMHV backup fails with error "The parameter is incorrect"

Issue

  • When SMHV over SMB backup fails, Windows Application Event Log reports an error like below.

Error: Vss Requestor - Backup Components failed.The parameter is incorrect.

  • Windows Application Event Log also reports a warning like below.

Volume Shadow Copy Service warning: Unable to translate server name in IP address format to host name. Please make sure your DNS servers have IPv4 and IPv6 reverse lookup zones (ip6.arpa and ip.arpa) configured..  hr = 0x00000000, The operation completed successfully.
