Answer

You must have a domain user with local administrator privileges, and with local login permissions on the remote Exchange host, as well as administrative permissions on all the nodes in the DAG. The domain user requires the following minimum permissions:

  • Add-MailboxDatabaseCopy

  • Dismount-Database

  • Get-AdServerSettings

  • Get-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup

  • Get-ExchangeServer

  • Get-MailboxDatabase

  • Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus

  • Get-MailboxServer

  • Get-MailboxStatistics

  • Get-PublicFolderDatabase

  • Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase

  • Move-DatabasePath -ConfigurationOnly:$true

  • Mount-Database

  • New-MailboxDatabase

  • New-PublicFolderDatabase

  • Remove-MailboxDatabase

  • Remove-MailboxDatabaseCopy

  • Remove-PublicFolderDatabase

  • Resume-MailboxDatabaseCopy

  • Set-AdServerSettings

  • Set-MailboxDatabase -allowfilerestore:$true

  • Set-MailboxDatabaseCopy

  • Set-PublicFolderDatabase

  • Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy

  • Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy
