Issue

Attempts to restore a snapshot older than a snapshot with an associated DP relationship (Snapmirror/SnapVault) fails with the following error message:

Failed to promote Snapshot copysnapshot-name because one or more newer Snapshot copies are currently used as a reference Snapshot copy for data protection operations: snapshot-name. (errno=13001)Need assistance to identify path forwards / workaround to restore the database.
