Issue

In the Recovery Management page with the SMHV graphical user interface when you select a virtual machine in the "Resource" section the Backups list is empty even though backups were reported as ended successfully. What is shown unde the Backup Name column is

"The selected dataset or virtual machine has no backups"

This problem can also influence the retention since SMHV it is not aware of any backup to remove and the following can bee seen in the SMHV logs (SnapMgrServiceHostDbg.log)

TreeSelectionChangedEvent reached type = The selected dataset or virtual machine has no backups.
the BackupRepository client state = Opened
An error occured while de-serializing object of type: NetApp.SnapManager.SmMetadata There is an error in XML document (0, 0).
