SQL or Exchange backups failing with error "Plugin cannot accept any more jobs at this time"

  • SnapCenter Server (SC)
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft SQL Server (SCSQL)
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft Exchange (SCE)

Issue

Backups are failing to run / complete, with one of the following error messages being displayed in the SC GUI:

  • Plugin cannot accept any more jobs at this time. Job will be queued, and retried after 5 minutes
  • A conflicting job <Job_Id> is currently running on the plugin. This will be resumed once the job <Job_Id> is completed
