SCV quiescing error in backup does not trigger a warning email notification

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.5

Issue

  • With a quiescing error, SCV fails to send a warning notification email as it believes the job was successful
  • Quiescing error in wfe_<jobID>.log is:

    Unable to quiesce on SCV: Exception occurred when quiescing virtual machines: VM_Name, VM_Name.Please check 'Create virtu al machine snapshot' task on vSphere Web Client or SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere logs for detailed error message
     
  • The email entry in the wfe_<jobID>.log is:

    DEBUG hbmena33.hugoboss.com --- [nio-8080-exec-4] c.n.w.a.EmailActivity                    : EmailActivity CanExecute Started
    DEBUG hbmena33.hugoboss.com --- [nio-8080-exec-4] c.n.w.a.EmailActivity                    : Email preference is on error or warning but job was successful; not sending email

  • Issue happens if the email preferences are set to Error & Warnings or Always
