SCV backup job fails due to unquiescing VM failure without exception

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)
  • NetApp Data Broker (NDB)
  • Running 2 or more backup jobs for the same virtual machine (VM) simultaneously

Issue

  • SCV backup job fails with error:

Error: Unable to unquiesce on SCV: Exception when unquiescing virtual machines: VM1.Please check 'Remove all snapshots' task on vSphere Web Client or SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere logs for detailed error message.

  • vmcontrol_<JobId>.log indicates VMware snapshot deletion was unsuccessful without any exception:
