SCV 4.4 unable to rename "_recent" snapshot on destination volume

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.4

Issue

  • SCV is unable to rename the _recent snapshot of the previous backup on a destination volume
  • Error seen in SCV job log:
    [DBG] Running Command Rename-NcSnapshot controller name : <destination_SVM_name>, vserver :
    [ERR] API exception
    [ERR] Failed to run a command Rename-NcSnapshot
    [DBG] ex.Message : Failed to rename the Snapshot copy "<snapshot_name>_recent" of volume "<destination_vol_name>" on Vserver "<destination_SVM_name>" to new name "<new_snapshot_name>". Reason: Unable to set attribute "name" for Snapshot copy. Reason: Snapshot operation not allowed on a read-only volume.
    [DBG] ex.InnerException.Message : Failed to rename the Snapshot copy "<snapshot_name>_recent" of volume "<destination_vol_name>" on Vserver "<destination_SVM_name>" to new name "<new_snapshot_name>". Reason: Unable to set attribute "name" for Snapshot copy. Reason: Snapshot operation not allowed on a read-only volume.
