SCSQL restore to alternate host fails to find VMDK in datastore backup

Issue

  • When performing an SCSQL database restore or clone to an alternate SQL Server, an error is generated that the VMDK is not found in the datastore backup.
  • The error is generated in the VMControl.log on the SCV appliance

2020-01-01 01:23:45.678 ERROR hostname.domain.com --- [123456789-12345] c.n.a.s.p.CreateCloneManager             : [JobId:0] Failed to Mount/Attach Disk:- VMDK XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX not found in any datastore of backup
