Operations on Linux host fail with: SnapCenter server host is not specified

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle (SCO) 4.x

Issue

  • Access to the SnapCenter Server attempted from the Linux host fails:

# sccli Open-SmConnection

ERROR: SnapCenter server host is not specified in configuration file.

  • Remote SCO operations are started, but not finished or properly registered in the SnapCenter Server, and the spl_<job-id>.log from the Linux host shows:

c.n.s.c.u.SnapCenterServerServiceInvokerHelper - Unable to add sub task on the server java.lang.IllegalStateException: SnapCenter server host is not specified
