SCV fails to mount clone volume due to the SVM root volume with load-sharing mirror

Issue

  • SCV fails to attach virtual disk.
  • SCV fails to mount backup.
  • vmcontrol_<job_id>.log shows the following error.

Example:

Check that the export exists and that the client is permitted to mount it.

  • snapmirror.log of ONTAP shows the following error.

Example:

action=End status=Failure message=Load-sharing destination volume cluster2://svm2/svm2_root_lsm is current; a "snapmirror initialize" or "snapmirror update" will have no effect on such a volume. Use "snapmirror update-ls-set" to update the load-sharing set. source=cluster2://svm2/svm2_root destination=cluster2://svm2/svm2_root_lsm
