DocAve Platform Backup and Restore

Issue

  • DocAve integrates with SCSQL to backup, clone, and restore SQL databases housing the SharePoint environment
  • If the DocAve backup is configured for granularity, a clone of the content database(s) from the backup is needed for the indexing to use 
  • In environments where greater than 100 databases (sharing the same storage controller volume) are housed on the SQL instance, an error, "Failed to get backup information", can be returned back to DocAve when querying the clone information in preparation for the indexing operation
  • Increasing the "Maximum databases backed up per Snapshot copy" (backup concurrency) in the SCSQL backup policy to have only 1 snapshot per backup works temporarily until the backup concurrency is set back to the default value of 100
