SnapCenter server job fails with error "Cannot open Service Control Manager on computer"

Issue

In the SnapManagerWeb log the error below can be seen when doing some action or job that requires access to the services process :

"Cannot open Service Control Manager on computer '.'. This operation might require other privileges.Source: System.ServiceProcess"

The action throwing this error can be for example :

  • Adding SCV host to Snapcenter
  • Running the powershell command in SnapCenter "New-SMServerBackup
