Issue

  • Backups failing with network error messages writing to remote tape library after CommVault SP Upgrade.

Wed May 27 14:01:11 PDT /SVM/Volume/ BKP-Abort (SMTape Backup: Message from Write Dirnet: Interrupted system call)

Thu May 28 08:53:24 PDT /SVM/Volume/ BKP-Abort (SMTape Backup: Message from Write Dirnet: Interrupted system call)

  • These errors indicate a failure to send data over the network due to a failure to write to the tape(s) library downstream.
