  • MetroCluster Check Job Schedule changed from default

Answer

The default setup is to have one site of the MetroCluster run the periodic check at 15 minutes after the hour and the second site at 47 minutes after the hour.

Changing the defaults can result in error messages as follows:

mcc.check.failed: The MetroCluster (tm) check job has failed to complete all checks for the system in cluster <cluster>.

Verify this by running:

ClusterA::> job schedule cron show -name "MetroCluster Check Job Schedule"

ClusterA::> job schedule cron show -name "MetroCluster Check Job Schedule"
       Name: MetroCluster Check Job Schedule
      Month: -
Day of Week: -
        Day: -
       Hour: -
     Minute: 47
Description: @:47

ClusterB::> job schedule cron show -name "MetroCluster Check Job Schedule"
       Name: MetroCluster Check Job Schedule
      Month: -
Day of Week: -
        Day: -
       Hour: -
     Minute: 15
Description: @:15

To set the values back to the default settings use the following:

Cluster::> job schedule cron modify -name "MetroCluster Check Job Schedule" -minute <value>
