Issue

  • False UnsupportedSwitch_Alert generated, while switch model/firmware is compatible as per NetApp® Interoperability Matrix Tool: 

[node1:callhome.hm.alert.major:alert]: Call home for Health Monitor process cshm: UnsupportedSwitch_Alert[switch_name].

  • UnsupportedSwitch_Alert switch alerts are being generated while the supported switch and configuration is in use:

[node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = UnsupportedSwitch_Alert , Alerting Resource = clusterswitch-01 raised by monitor cluster-switch

  • Alerts are generated at times where indications of network instability on the management network can be seen:

[node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchCommunityString_Alert , Alerting Resource = clusterswitch-01 raised by monitor cluster-switch
