DR CONFIG REPLICATION FAILED: NVMe over Fabrics is not supported

Issue

  • metrocluster vserver show  reports one of the following errors: 
      
                   Cluster  : ClusterA
          Vserver  : SVM1
  Partner Vserver  : SVM1-mc
           Stream  : xxxxxxae-xxxx-xxec-axxx-dxxxeaxxfdxx
     Configuration State  : degraded       
Failed Replication Reason : Apply failed for Object: vifsbyname Method: baseline. Reason: Cannot configure SAN LIF "lif_SVM1" on Vserver "SVM1-mc". Reason: Vserver "SVM1-mc" must have an NVMe service to execute this operation. Use the "vserver nvme create -vserver SVM1-mc" command to create the NVMe service for the Vserver.

 
 
Failed Replication Reason : Apply failed for Object: vserver_ui Method: baseline. Reason: NVMe over Fabrics is not supported in a Vserver with MetroCluster configured.
 
  • When you try to add the NVMe protocol you see the follow error:
cluster1::vserver> add-protocols -vserver NVMe -protocols nvme
Error: command failed: NVMe over Fabrics is not supported in a Vserver with MetroCluster configured.
