Question(s) and Answer(s)

Can a MetroCluster be monitored by more than one Tiebreaker instance?

No.

While it is technically possible, a MetroCluster must not be monitored by more than one instance of the MetroCluster Tiebreaker software.

Each MetroCluster Tiebreaker software instance operates independently and can trigger conflicting operations.

Example: Tiebreaker-1 instance detects a disaster on Site-A and Tiebreaker-2 instance detects a disaster on Site-B. In this scenario, Tiebreaker-1 can trigger a SwitchOver on Site-B, while Tiebreaker-2 can trigger a SwitchOver on Site-A.
