Unable to view alerts in Manage Alerts tab due to "platform.event.AlertResourceObject" error

Issue

  • When navigating within Active IQ Unified Manager WebUI to Manage Alerts under the Administration Menu, an error message is seen on the Manage Alerts page:

==MESSAGE==
com.netapp.dfm.entity.inventory.ontap.storage.Volume_$$_javassist_XXX cannot be
cast to com.netapp.dfm.entity.platform.event.AlertResourceObject

==DETAILS==
No details are available.

==CORRECTIVE ACTION==
No suggested corrective action is available.

  • For Unified Manager 7.x to 9.6, the Alerts page is found under Configuration > Alerting

  • For Unified Manager 9.7 and newer, the Alerts page is found under Storage Management > Alert Setup
