Issue

  • API calls over HTTP or HTTPS are failing to the controller or cluster with the following error.

No permission to use 'hostsequiv' authentication, must be root

  • Command dfm host diag <HOST_NAME> returns the following error.

XML (https port 80) No permission to use 'hostsequiv' authentication, must be root
XML (https port 443) No permission to use 'hostsequiv' authentication, must be root.

  • Protection Manager job fails with the message including the followings.
    • Could not get live vol usage from filer for ..
    • Using data from the database instead ..
    • Failed to create secondary snapshot on ..
    • Unable to get a list of snapshots from the volume ..
