Description

Occasionally, it is necessary to kick off a manual backup of OnCommand Unified Manager. At this time, there is no click-button feature to start a backup, however, by using the backup scheduling feature of Unified Manager, one can start a backup by scheduling a backup job to kick off 2-3 minutes into the future.

Note: NetApp Support has created Request For Enhancement (RFE) 1003072 to have a "Backup Now" button added to the user interface. If you would like to see this RFE implemented within the OnCommand Unified Manager application, create a NetApp Technical Case and request that the case number be added to RFE 1003072. No troubleshooting or log upload will be indicated for a case that is opened specifically for this RFE request. If errors are being presented by the OnCommand Unified Manager application, log collection will be necessary to troubleshoot the errors.
