Cannot restore old backup of Active IQ Unified Manager

  • OnCommand Unified Manager 7.x OVA / RHEL / Windows
  • OnCommand Unified Manager 9.x OVA / RHEL / CentOS / Windows
  • Active IQ Unified Manager 9.6+ OVA / RHEL / CentOS / Windows

Issue

  • Even though the preference that you need to restore a backup in the exact same version which was freshly installed was met, the restore of the backup fails.
  • The restore fails without specific error.

Here is a log example:

[root@ocum ocum-backup]# um backup restore -f /opt/netapp/data/ocum-backup/UM_7.3_backup_unix_04-03-2018-17-55.7z
