Why does storage array Raw Capacity (GB) not match the sum of Disk Size (GB) for disks in the array in OnCommand Insight?

Answer

Since OnCommand Insight stores disk size for individual disks in GB, rounding is required when a storage data source reports disk sizes in other units (such as MB, KB, or bytes). As a result, disk size at the individual disk level is not precise and should not be used in calculations.
