NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) Identity Management
Effective December 3 - NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) identity management to simplify and provide secure access to NetApp resources. For accounts that did not pre-register (prior to Dec 3) access to your NetApp data may take up to 1 hour as your legacy NSS ID is synchronized to the new B2C identity.  ActiveIQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.7

Answer

With the release of AIQUM 9.7 several changes and enhancements went into the headroom calculations. These changes improved the reporting for Performance Capacity Used (PCU).

The changes were:
  • Improved algorithm – Remote traffic was incorporated inaccurately within ONTAP which affected PCU in Unified Manager.
  • Eliminate gaps in Performance Capacity data seen in Unified Manager
  • Enhancement was made to bring the PCU data at the 5 minute average as the rest of the counters are for consistency – previously in UM 9.6 it was a one-minute estimate.

Below is an example of how the PCU and Available IOPs changed after upgrading to AIQUM 9.7.
