Unable to add cluster to Active IQ Unified Manager due to MTU size configuration

Issue

  • When adding a cluster data source to Unified Manager, an error will occur indicating that clocks on the systems are no synchronized and that the Unified Manager HTTPS certificate start date is later than the date on the cluster, or the cluster has reached the maximum number of EMS notification destinations. Attention should be directed to the following logs:
    • ocumserver.log
    • ocum-error.log
    • server_acq.log
    • server_mega.log
  • The following may be messages that will be seen in these logs:

2019-09-11 16:43:57,773 ERROR [default task-2] c.n.o.n.e.EmsZapiManager (EmsZapiManager.java:156) - Failed to call security-certificate-install -- : java.io.EOFException

2019-09-11 16:43:57,844 ERROR [dsaum] [default task-2] [c.n.o.r.m.e.GlobalExceptionHandler] GenericRestApiException: /rest/datasources Unable to add cluster data source. This can occur if the clocks on the systems are not synchronized and the UM HTTPS certificate start date is later than the date on the cluster, or if the cluster has reached the maximum number of EMS notification destinations.
