Login to Active IQ UM web UI with the maitenance user because of issues with the underlaying PAM

  • Active IQ Unified Manager 9.7P1 (UM) on Redhat
  • Login to the webUI with the maintenance user
  • No LDAP is configured within UM or within the host OS

Issue

  • After UM is newly deployed, the login with the maintenance user to the web UI fails with an authentication error

Authentication failed for admin

  • In the /var/log/ocum/ocumserver.log you see:

<date> [:NOTIC]::WEB:err:[IP]::Authentication failed for admin[org.springframework.security.web.authentication.WebAuthenticationDetails@ffff6a82: RemoteIpAddress: <ip>; SessionId: null]: org.springframework.security.authentication.BadCredentialsException: Authenticating token for ldap user not successful
