An error appears after changing the network configuration following the maintenance console

NOTE: Changes to the network settings have been made outside of the maintenance console. The pending changes made in the maintenance console have been discarded in order to avoid owerwriting the external changes.

An error appears in /var/log/syslog:

Jun <time> <hostname> network-config: Edit session: /tmp/<tempfile> - Command /usr/bin/hostnamectl set-hostname  failed (1).  Output:#012Invalid number of arguments.
