ONTAP is unable to connect to GCP Object-Store causing access issues

Issue

  • The end users will not be able to access shares/exports and will be in an outage
  • If you look in EMS/event viewer you will see the below error:
    • object.store.unavailable: Unable to connect to the object store "Object_Name" from node xxx. Reason: Operation Timedout
  • When trying to connect or start a profiler against object store we get error:
    • Storage aggregate object-store profiler start -node <node from error> -object-store-name <Object_Name>
    • Reason: Cannot verify the certificate given by the object store server. It is possible that the certificate has not been installed on the cluster.
