Applies to

  • NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)
  • NetApp Cloud Manager (Connector)
  • BYOL (Bring your own license)

Issue

Several licensing options are available for Cloud Volumes ONTAP. If an active license is not installed, then CVO shuts itself down after 14 days. Cloud Manager simplifies the process by managing licenses for you and by showing a License Expiration Warning alert before they expire.

Alerts :

  • Your software instance has been shut down as a result of not having a valid subscription license. Contact your sales representative for a subscription license. Your subscription expired on xx/yy/zz.
  • You`ve reached the maximum capacity allowed by your Cloud volumes ONTAP license(s). You can expand the allowed capacity by adding additional BYOL licenses.
