  • Amazon WebService (AWS)
  • Cloud Volume ONTAP (CVO)
  • gp2 to gp3 migration

Answer

  • When you select a gp3 disk, Cloud Manager fills in default IOPS and throughput values that provide performance that is equivalent to a gp2 disk based on the selected disk size.
  • You can increase the values to get better performance at a higher cost or leave them as is, however we do not recommend lowering the values as it can result in inferior performance.
  • If a lower value will be entered, an alert will pop up and inform that it will result in inferior storage performance and will not be handled by NetApp support as part of the SLA.
