Applies to

  • Cloud sync
  • Cross Project GCS Bucket

Issue

  • GCP service account is created for a project but it is trying to access a bucket from a different GCS project.
  • When a cloud sync relationship is created with prefix of the path of the bucket that has trailing "/" ( forward slash) , items in that prefix path of the GCS bucket are not discovered by cloud sync.
  • But with "gsutil" commands we are able to see the items in the same GCS bucket without any issues using the same service account.
